What We Offer

Click on an age range to see our available classes. Class age requirements are based on dancer's age as of October 1st.

  • TINY TOTS

    This 30 minute class is an introduction to basic movement. It consists of ballet and tumbling and focuses on timing, coordination, and creativity. This class is designed with the youngest dancers in mind.

    Girls Attire: Pink tights, leotard, tutu if desired

    Boys Attire: Athletic t-shirt, athletic shorts or pants

    Shoes: Leather ballet shoes (color recommendation: pink for girls, black for boys)

  • TINY DANCERS

    This is the perfect introductory class to dance. This class combines ballet, tap, and light acrobatics. It really gets the little ones moving. Dancers will learn coordination, develop rhythm, and promote creative expression.

    Girls Attire: Pink tights, leotard, tutu if desired.

    Boys Attire: Athletic t-shirt, athletic shorts or pants

    Shoes: Leather ballet shoes (color recommendation: pink for girls, black for boys), tap shoes (color recommendation: white for girls, black for boys)

    TINY TUMBLERS

    This class will focus on tumbling, balance, agility, and coordination. Tumblers will begin working on flexibility and strength exercises. This class will not participate in recital.

    Attire: Leotard or athletic clothing

    Shoes: None. Dancers will go barefoot.

  • TIPPY TOES & TAPPY FEET

    This class is an extension from the tiny dancers program. It offers a combination of ballet and tap with light jazz and acrobatic techniques. Its purpose is to introduce students to different disciplines, which will guide them into the areas of dance they may wish to pursue. Dancers will perform either a ballet, jazz, or tap routine in our recital.

    Girls Attire: Pink tights, leotard, tutu if desired.

    Boys Attire: Athletic t-shirt, athletic shorts or pants

    Shoes: Leather ballet shoes (color recommendation: pink for girls, black for boys), tap shoes (color recommendation: white for girls, black for boys)

    BITTY BOPPERS & FLIP FLOPPERS

    This class if for those high energy little ones that are always ready to show off their dance moves and who love to flip around. It combines the basics of hip hop (only age appropriate movement and music – we promise!) with basic acrobatic and tumbling skills. Dancers will perform one routine with a mixture of both styles in our spring recital.

    Attire: Stylish, trendy attire or a leotard. No tights.

    Shoes: Tennis shoes. Tumbling portion will be done barefoot.

    KINDERGARTEN JAZZ

    Stylistic class that focuses on technique, conditioning, musicality, and flexibility. In this popular class, students are taught upbeat routines to popular music.

    Attire: Tight fitting dance attire, no t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: slip-on jazz shoes (color recommendation: tan)

  • BALLET

    The classical form of dance. This class promotes a strong technical base for all other dance forms. Barre, center floor, and progression are all used to develop ballet technique.

    Girls Attire: Pink tights, black leotard, ballet skirt if desired

    Boys Attire: White t-shirt, black pants

    Shoes: Split-sole ballet shoes (pink for girls, black for boys)

    JAZZ

    Stylistic class that focuses on technique, conditioning, musicality, and flexibility. In this popular class, students are taught upbeat routines to popular music.

    Attire: Tight fitting dance attire, no t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: slip-on jazz shoes (color recommendation: tan)

    TAP

    A fun, upbeat class that emphasizes rhythm, technique, footwork and timing through sound.

    Attire: Tight fitting dance attire, no t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: Oxford-style tap shoes (black oxford solid sole tap shoe for advanced classes)

    ACROBATICS

    A structured tumbling program that focuses on flexibility, strength, balance, and tumbling skills. Students must be enrolled in another discipline.

    Attire: Tight fitting dance attire, no t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: slip-on jazz shoes (color recommendation: tan) or barefoot

    HIP HOP

    A funky, fast-paced form of street dancing that combines cutting edge moves with age appropriate music and choreography.

    Attire: Comfortable clothing, t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: Clean tennis shoes or hip hop shoes

    CONTEMPORARY

    This fresh new class is based on emotion, interpretation, and musicality. It is a take from modern and lyrical techniques.

    Attire: Comfortable dance attire, no t-shirts allowed

    Shoes: Any jazz shoe, socks, or students can go barefoot

Company Sidekicks

Director: Emily Davis

Sidekicks is our youngest performing company comprised of dancers ages 6 to 8. You will see our sidekicks perform and compete around the southeast! This is a fun, high energy group, working towards a goal of creating a love for dance and a strong, disciplined work ethic. Parent interest meeting will be held in the Spring.   • Performances around the city

  • Performance at recital

  • Attendance of choreography intensive

  • Enrolled in jazz and ballet

  • Two years of previous dance training

  • Weekday rehearsals

Company Connection

Director: Emily Jenkins and Shelby Buchanan

Connection is a company comprised of dancers ages 9 and up. They represent Soles Dance Center in competitions and performances around the city and state. This group is a dedicated group of dancers, who love dance and love performing. Parent interest meeting will be in the fall. Contact Miss Anna for inquiries on financial requirements.

  • Attendance of choreography intensive

  • Enrolled in jazz, ballet, and two electives

  • Two years of previous dance training

The Soles Company

Director: Anna Ward

Soles Company is our highest level competition group. It is comprised of dancers ages 8 and up. Our company represents Soles Dance Center in competitions and performances around the Southeast. This group requires our highest level of dedication, time, and financial commitment. This group is chosen by audition only.

Requirements:

  • Attendance of 3-4 conventions/competitions

  • Master class requirements

  • Performances around the city

  • Mandatory choreography intensives

  • Performance at recital

  • Attendance of choreography intensives

  • Enrolled in 4 classes (jazz and ballet are required)

  • Sunday afternoon rehearsals

  • Dance is your focus and priority!
